The Johnson City Virtual Academy is currently accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year for students in grades 5-12 who are interested in a fully online educational opportunity. The Johnson City Virtual Academy had a successful inaugural 2020-2021 school year by educating 146 students.

“We had a great first year at the Virtual Academy and we are looking forward to welcoming even more students into the program for 2022-2023,” Johnson City Virtual Academy Principal George Laoo said. “The Virtual Academy believes in flexibility, personalization, blended learning, and educating the whole child.”

“At the JCVA, students receive a healthy balance of synchronous and asynchronous instruction,” Laoo continued. “From dynamic text to videos and audio, lessons will speak to your child in a way that ignites their curiosity and helps them gain fundamental knowledge while they build social and emotional skills. Our staff has made a commitment to fostering forward-thinking, passions, developing productive citizens, and preparing for tomorrow’s opportunities.”

After filling out an application, an enrollment review committee will examine all submitted applications and decide whether the student meets the criteria for enrollment. Once an application has been approved, an email is sent to the applicant. The email will contain information about enrollment and orientation.
