Four Johnson City Schools earned the Tennessee Department of Education’s highest level of distinction for the 2021-2022 school year according to data released by the TDOE.
Fairmont Elementary, Lake Ridge Elementary, South Side Elementary and Towne Acres Elementary all earned the honor of being named Reward Schools.
“We are proud of the hard work of our students, families and teachers,” Johnson City Schools Superintendent Steve Barnett said. “Each of our four Reward Schools did amazing work and that speaks to the dedication of our teachers, support staff, and administrators working with students and their families.”
In all, 427 schools earned Reward School designation by the TDOE across the state.
