Regarding: Additional or optional time for End-of-Course Testing
Dear families,
The state has allowed additional time to be offered to all students in each testing session and has released the information below. In accordance with this guidance, Johnson City Schools will automatically build the 20% additional time into each subpart so that all students will have the opportunity to receive this optional time. Due to this protocol, parents and students do not need to request the additional time. It is important to note that once a student submits a subpart with online testing, it cannot be reopened.
If an LEA or public charter school decides, based on local context for testing schedules, staffing, and physical space for testing, that it will build testing schedules with the Optional Time included for all students, the LEA or public charter school may do so in accordance with its local policies. (Tennessee Code Annotated § 49-6-6015)
